2011 Professional Stipend Program
About the Program: The AAJA Texas chapter awards professional stipends on a rolling basis. Stipend recipients will be required to provide a short write-up about their professional development experience for our website and volunteer two hours to the chapter.

Mentoring Program Volunteers
About the Program: AAJA is looking for mid-career journalists to mentor students and young professionals. Mentors would agree to be in contact with their student throughout the year, by phone and email, working to meet in person at least once. Mentors would also be available to do critiques of resumes, portfolios and work samples, talk about job strategies, and generally be a sounding board for navigating the news business.
Who should apply: Mentors should be mid-career journalists interested in helping out students and young professionals.
