Meet our new treasurer

July 19, 2010

AAJA Texas treasurer Caroling Lee recently took a new position in New York City. Caroling has done a fantastic job for the chapter, including leading the redesign of our chapter website which debuted in May. We're sorry to see her leave the board (and Texas!) but excited that Priscilla Luong has agreed to step up as the chapter's new treasurer.

Priscilla is an anchor/reporter with KTAB, the CBS Affiliate in Abilene. Since she joined KTAB in 2008, the news team took home the 2010 EMMY "Excellence in My Market" Award for Station Excellence. As a reporter, Priscilla has taken Big Country viewers “Inside UFO Country” and ventured back to her family’s native roots in Vietnam for a special report, “The Fall of Saigon: 35 Years Later.”

Prior to joining KTAB, Priscilla was an intern and freelance production assistant at KTVU Channel 2 News, the FOX Affiliate in Oakland, CA. Her first newsroom experience took her halfway around the globe to the BBC. On the second day of her internship, Priscilla helped break a double murder/suicide story that made world headlines. She was also the Main Host/Executive Producer of her university’s award-winning station, AGTV: UC Davis Television.

A lifelong California girl, Priscilla has been an AAJA member since 2006. Before moving to Texas, she was a student liaison with AAJA Sacramento. She is excited to serve AAJA Texas as the new Treasurer and we're thrilled to have her as a member of the board.
